What employers mean by ROS experience
ROS is usually one layer of a larger production robotics role. A useful job description shows whether ROS is the application framework, middleware boundary, integration layer, fleet runtime, or a migration path from an older robot stack.
ROS 2 middleware
Modern roles often ask for ROS 2 nodes, topics, services, actions, launch systems, TF2, DDS or QoS behavior, and debugging distributed message flow. Some teams still maintain ROS 1 or mixed-generation systems.
Robot integration
